Legal Focus: I like to know the legal environment I’m working in, especially when I’m handling hundreds of thousands of dollars of other people’s money! ... the best part of the workshop was we had an open invitation to ask a professional real estate lawyer our own specific questions! Barry McGuire is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced investment real estate lawyers around. And he presented his information in a very clear and easy to understand manner. This part of the workshop allowed me to build my confidence level dramatically.
The Results, How has it directly helped me? One month after I had completed the workshop, ... I solidified 2 new real estate deals with 2 separate JV Partners, and I also have another JV Partner investing in an existing property... which frees up more of my own cash.

I've paid lawyers and other trainers so much more than what I could get here at this seminar. Philip is great at sales technique and how to approach your J/V partner... and Barry... well you get him for the full day... need I say more?
My advice is to come prepared with questions for Barry on legal matters, if he has not addressed them during his presentation, then you could always ask him those questions one on one after, or better yet, ask those questions in front of the class so that other people can benefit from the answers as well.
If REIN builds the foundation of the house for your JV, then Barry gives you the 4 walls and the roof to finish off your JV house. It's totally worth it!

My favourite part of this course? The AFS, Lease-Options, Options, the binder with all the information, the CD of forms are great!
Chad MielkeThe value is unreal. To get templates for all the legal documents is so worth the money. And on top of that you are shown how to use them. My favourite part was going through each of the entrance/exit strategies with the supporting legal documents. Fantastic!

Like any teaching session, the smaller the group the more focused the learning session is. This environment had allowed a lot of individual interaction. All the questions we discussed were answered in a combined group effort. Most questions were scenario based and because the group was small but very diverse (rookie to veteran investor) you usually got more than one solution to the question. My overall advice to you regarding the JV focus workshop is: 1. Attend the workshop. The value added in knowledge and information will provide you a much higher return in the long run as compared to the cost of the session itself. 2. Come with a list of questions that are holding you back. 3. Be proactive in the group. Ask the questions! 4. Be clear what you want to get out of the workshop. 5. Talk to EVERYONE in the group. (I’ve made some very solid relationships from that workshop, an added benefit!) 6. Take the information you learn home, structure it to your satisfaction and then....take action!!!

I took the Ron Legrand workshop in October of 2009 as well as other related workshops in the previous years. Prior to Ron Legrand I had a tough time getting started. I lacked the confidence to go past the advertising stage and complete a deal. My fear always came down to the legal aspects and which document to use, when or how to complete it. I was unsure how to protect myself in a deal.
After taking Deal Ready Documents I gained the confidence to explore and then complete several Option deals.
Thomas Beyer writes that some of these strategies are advanced and yes they are. It is by education and experience you become advanced.
Deal Ready Documents is a great extension to Ron Legrand and to REIN.
This might sound like an advertisement but it is truly sincere. Thank you Barry and Donna.

I too took Barry's class, and it helped a lot.
In fact, two of the documents that Barry created and provided at the event has helped me do about 10 deals in 2010, and one of those two accounted for $34,000 of cash I have pocketed from assignments in that time.
It was definitely worth the time and the cost for me.

I'm glad to see that this program is doing well and that so many people are benefitting from it. If DS can learn a thing or two from it then anybody can.
You're absolutly right that some of the techniques are advanced but the way you explain it makes it very easy to understand. I like how you have short and long versions of many of your documents as I like short but many people like the details broken down even more.

I'd like to give my endorsement of your deal ready documents course.
How do you present a course on legal documents with a whiff of hope that the attendees will actually remain awake long enough to grasp something of value, before they drift inexorably off into a detached state of mind-numbing disinterest? My attention span can often be relatively short.
Do it like Barry does it. I found it to be just the right blend of context, content, practicality, and tempo. The interactive portions were also useful.

I took Barry's Workshop after doing the Ron LeGrand Seller Financing and Tony Peters' Creative Real Estate Investing Power Workshop.
I would like to say that Barry does a fantastic job with this. Even though I am from North Vancouver, and the workshop was Alberta specific, I still got a lot out of value from it.
I left that workshop with more understanding on how to use the specific documents and I feel more confident in presenting deals to my (Vendor or Buyer) as well as to my Lawyer here in BC

I just would like to encourage anyone who has not taken Barry McGuires Deal Ready Documents Focus WorkShop. I have attended Barry's workshop and found the information very very informative, which includes the various different legal forms ready to use. Their is everything from Joint Ventures, Options and Lease Options, Agreement for Sales, and much more. What would this information cost if you had to get all this separately from a lawyer? Also this information comes from a very down to earth kinda guy. So if you have any doubts at all about value, content, or materials, you will be blown away after 1 day with Barry.

Barry's Deal Ready Docs Saves You Money!!
I gave my lawyer copies of all of them so she doesn't have to charge me extra legal fees to draw up ones from scratch!
I have been consistently using Barry's 3 page Option To Purchase with my tenant buyers and have not had any resistence or non understanding from my tenant buyer's lawyers.
Barry takes the time during his course to answer questions and explain in plain English what the docs are, making it easy for YOU to explain to both sellers and buyers.
